2010 Regional Specialty
The PPPA was invited to participate in the AKC/FSS Meet the Breed booth being held in conjunction with the Rose City Classic in Portland OR. We accepted the invitation and took the opportunity to have a Judges Ed. seminar as well as a Regional Specialty at this same time of this venue. '
Our Meet the Breed booth went very well and gave the attendees at the Rose City Classic show the opportunity to experience our wonderful "Pequeno" breed. The dogs, both smooth and wire, were very well behaved and the public was able to learn about our breed and it's history.
Our Judges Ed. Seminar, presented by member Carol Sowders, allowed judges to have a hands on experience with the breed.
Saturday evening we held our Regional Specialty. Member and AKC multiple group and Best in Show judge Susan St. John Brown, graciously agreed to accept this assignment and made it a wonderful experience for all exhibitors and entries. Many AKC judges were in attendance giving us an opportunity to continue educating judges about our breed. The results of this show are as follows:
Best of Breed: Houla's Border Patrol (Tango), bred by Carol Houlihan & owned by Susan & Stacy Faw & Patricia Reisert
Best of Opposite: Porto Novo's Enchantress (Bella) bred by Marilyn Piurek & owned by Alice Mirestes & Suzanne Faria
Reserve Winners Dog: Topo de Gama do Vale Negro, (Ranger), bred by Carla Molinari & owned by Carol Sowders
Reserve Winners Bitch: Houla's Blue Bonnet, (Aeryn) bred by Carol Houlihan & owned by Stacy & Susan Faw & Patricia Reisert
